Why Clean Slate
Children are trickling back into schools. A more widespread re-opening is just around the corner. However, cases of covid-19 are higher than ever. In this environment, two things are critical for all of us to ensure.

Physical Wellbeing: Making sure kids are physically as safe as possible. I.e. ensuring that the physical space of the school is conducive to children’s physical wellbeing. Our classrooms are highly risky environments for exposure to covid - how do we give schools cost-effective solutions to keeping kids safe inside classrooms

Mental Wellbeing: Making sure children’s mental wellbeing is prioritized over curriculum completion. I.e. Most kids have experienced a loss of livelihood, loss of life, or a general sense of uncertainty around them. We cannot resume school without acknowledging these emotions and having a framework for healthy conversations.

With a team of education experts, school leaders and Global Shapers Bangalore community members we have put together a school reopening toolkit.

A set of instructional posters you can print and use immediately to enhance safety in the school.

A video of activities for creating affordable safety partitions for your school.

Lesson plans and self-learning tools to get children to be socially and emotionally ready for school.

Signed up schools will also get access to more opportunities and resources curated by the Global Shapers Bangalore Community Members in the months to come.
